REGISTRATION
OF CATS AND DOGS |
The renewal of all cats and dogs licences will take
place from January 15th until February 15th 2012.
All pet owners will receive before the end of January
their renewal notice; please take note that the invoice
must be paid before February 15th.
You no longer have a pet? Your address has changed?
You pet is not registered at the Eastern Townships
SPA?
Call the Licence Department of the Eastern Townships
SPA at 819 821-4727 (option 4).
A New Companion? A New Home?
Was a new feline or canine companion welcomed in your
home? Have you moved to a municipality served by the
Eastern Townships SPA?
According to the municipal bylaw, you must register
your pet within 15 days after his or her arrival or
after moving into your new home. To do so, you have
three options:
-
Contact the SPA at 819 821-4727
option 4, Monday to Friday between 10:00 a.m. and
5:00 p.m.;
-
Visit the SPA shelter, Monday to
Saturday between 10:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m.
-
Fill out the registration form available
at www.spaestrie.qc.ca, under the button "Se procurer
une licence" (on the right-hand side of the screen),
under the section "Enregistrement d'un animal et
obtention d'un médaillon" and send it back to the
Eastern Townships SPA. Do not pay the licence immediately;
you will receive an invoice shortly.

The ID Tag
THE Return Ticket Home
According to the Eastern Townships SPA statistics, more
than 3,000 cats and dogs get lost every year in the
area served by the organization. When wearing their
SPA ID tag, 99% of these pets return home compared to
15% without the SPA tag.
If your pet gets lost, the Eastern Townships SPA ID
tag shows that he or she has a guardian somewhere. If
your pet is found by a citizen, that person will be
able to reach the SPA thanks to the phone number indicated
on the tag; if instead your pet ends up at the SPA shelter,
he or she will return home just as easily thanks to
the code engraved on the tag which corresponds with
your contact information.
Your Pet Is Missing?
Contact the SPA Right Away
The Eastern Townships SPA ID tag is, without a doubt,
the best way to identify your pet and to insure his
or her safety. However, as small as it may be, there
is a risk that your pet loses its ID tag.
That is why it is important to contact the SPA as soon
as you notice that your pet is missing. By reporting
it right away, you improve your chances of finding your
companion quickly.
Act quickly! Call us at 819 821-4727.
