The eco-centre is a place for the recovery of residual materials and provides residents with a place to get rid of certain products and materials. These products are then recovered, recycled, reused, or ultimately eliminated. Don’t forget a proof of residence.

The Ecocenter is now closed for the winter season. It will reopen as usual in April.

Ressourcerie des Frontières changes the operating rules at its Coaticook depot

Coaticook, May 7, 2020 – Preparing to resume its activities after the forced stop by COVID-19 and expecting a denser and more important frequentation, the Ressourcerie des Frontières modifies the operating rules at its depot on Cutting Street in Coaticook.

Here is the new procedure for bringing items to the depot:

• Make an appointment: In order to avoid congestion and to space out people’s attendance , citizens must make an appointment according to the different time periods using the form which will be available online as of May 19 2020 at www.ressourceriedesfrontieres.com/services/depot.php (People who do not have access to a computer or the internet will be able to call as of May 19, 2020 at 1-819- 804-1018, option 2)
• Unloading items: In order to avoid the risk of spreading the virus, citizens will have to unload their items themselves from their vehicle and drop them off at the place indicated by the staff.

“We know that people have taken advantage of the confinement period to clean up and they are eager for the opening of the depot to get rid of things that are no longer useful to them. We expect a significant increase in attendance and arrivals, says Claire Audet, Director General of La Ressourcerie. If everything arrives at the same time, we will not be able to process everything, and therefore will put the safety and health of users and staff at risk. The appointment system will help us manage the situation. ”

The storage space is already lacking at La Ressourcerie, which receives hundreds of tons of goods each year, most of which is sold in stores. “The postponement of the opening of the new Magog store, located in the basement of the Galéries Orford will not help,” said Mrs. Audet. Also, with the fact that we now need to put items in isolation, it puts a huge strain on our capacities. We will give priority to people who must move. Citizens can help us by keeping their things at home a little longer, if possible. ”

La Ressourcerie has implemented the most rigorous health measures that are best suited to each function in order to ensure the safety of staff and customers. As in all businesses, this slows down operations. “We are confident that with the collaboration and understanding of the users, it will be fine. ”
